Directions: To reach Pocket Trail Soldier Camp Trailhead from Payson, travel east on State Highway 260 to State Highway 288. Take State Highway 288 south to Young, then follow Forest Road 129 west of Young 6.5 miles to the junction of Forest Road 134. Turn left and drive down Road 134 12 miles through Soldier Camp to the trailhead. The south end of Pocket Trail 38 starts at this point. To reach Pocket Trail north terminus from Payson, travel east on State Highway 260 to Forest Road 371. Take Forest Road 371 south to Forest Road 454. Take Forest Road 454 south to Houston Pocket. The trail is located south of this location. | |
