Kellner Canyon Trail

Kellner Canyon Trail begins a quick descent through a narrow canyon of ponderosa pine. Kellner Canyon Spring is approximately 1/2mile down the trail. If you look carefully, you will see the remains of several cabins that were built many years ago.
This trail is 4.8 miles long, receives light use, and has a more difficult rating. Hiking and horseback riding are acceptable means by which to traverse this trail.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Kellner Canyon Trail. Gas, food, and lodging can be found in Globe.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted at Kellner Canyon Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Kellner Canyon Trail is open spring through fall, depending on weather.

Fees: No fee is charged.

Directions: To reach Kellner Canyon Trail Kellner Trailhead from Apache Junction, travel east on U.S. Highway 60 to Globe. In Globe, go south on Forest Road 651, and continue on it as it turns east. The trailhead is on the north side of the road.

To reach Kellner Canyon Trail Icehouse CCC Trailhead from Apache Junction, travel east on U.S. Highway 60 to Globe. In Globe, go south on Forest Road 112 to the trailhead. The trailhead is located on the west side of the road, parallel to the Icehouse CCC Campground.
