Sawmill Trail is one of two trails that connects the Timber Mesa Trail and the Panorama Trail, it being the more northerly of the two. It connects with Panorama Trail above Porter Tank, offering a good view. It ends to north of Frost Canyon near an old sawmill, hence the name.
The trail is 4 miles long and has been given a moderate rating. Horseback riding, hiking, and mountain biking are mean acceptable means to travel this trail.

Facilities: There are no facilities available at Sawmill Trail. Gas, food, and lodging can be found in Pinetop-Lakeside or Show Low.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted Sawmill Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Sawmill Trail is open from spring to early winter.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Directions: To reach Sawmill Trail from Show Low, travel south on State Highway 77 to Forest Road 45(Porter Mountain Road). Take a left on Forest Road 45 the trailhead for Timber Mesa Trail will come up first on the left and after that the Panorama Trail trailhead will be on the left.
