Rolfe C. Hoyer Campground is positioned in ponderosa pine and is one of the most popular for families and seniors. For anglers, this campground is within walking distance of the Greer Lakes and the Little Colorado River. The resort town of Greer is located nearby and offers many activities and restaurants.
During the months of July and August it rains frequently and often heavily, so be prepared.
There are 100 sites at this campground and each can handle trailers and RVs up to 32 feet in length. There are campground hosts to assist in finding a suitable campsite. Interpretative programs are offered at the amphitheater and hosted nature walks occur throughout the summer.


Facilities: Rolfe C. Hoyer Campground provides restrooms, drinking water, grills, fire pits, picnic tables, and showers. There is also an RV dump site, pay phone, and trash dumpsters. In addition, Rolfe C. Hoyer Campground has a day use area with picnic tables. Food and gas can be found in Greer.

Best Time To Visit: Rolfe C. Hoyer Campground is open from mid-May through September.

Fees: An overnight Fee is charged.

Accessibility: Sites 1 and 29 are accessible, as well as restrooms and showers.

Rules: Gray water and sewage may not be dumped on the ground. Pets must be on leash at all times, quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.

Directions: To reach Rolfe C. Hoyer Campground from Springerville, travel west on State Highway 260 to State Highway 373. The campground is located 2 miles north of Greer on State Highway 373, across from the Greer Lakes.

Reservations: Reservations are accepted for Rolfe C. Hoyer Campground. Campsites in Beaver Loop, Wildcat Loop, and Grouse Loop are all reservable, as well as site 36 in Bear Loop.
