Mt. Baldy Crossover Trail

Mt. Baldy Crossover Trail ambles through a dense forest of old ponderosa pine, Douglas fir, and spruce. Segments do slice through meadows, giving an excellent opportunity to view some wildlife.
This trail does run between and connect to both the East and West Baldy Trails, and does lie within the Mt. Baldy Wilderness Area. This trail is 3.5 miles long and has been given a moderate to difficult rating. Horses and hikers are permitted to use this trail.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Mt. Baldy Crossover Trail. Gas, lodging, and food can be found in Springerville.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted at Mt. Baldy Crossover Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Mt. Baldy Crossover Trail is open May to October.

Fees: No fees area charged.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: This trail runs through Mt. Baldy Wilderness, as such follow all guidelines of traveling in a wilderness area. One of these regulations is no mechanized vehicles, including bicycles. The maximum group size is 12 people.

Directions: To reach Mt. Baldy Crossover Trail from Springerville, travel west on State Highway 260 to State Highway 273. The trailhead is located 10.9 miles south on State Highway 273 on the right.
