Mingus Lake is a pond located in a stand of pines on Mingus Mountain. At about 7,000 feet in elevation, this lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout. During dry years, the lake may not have enough water for fish.
This lake is accessible by way of a dirt road that is relatively impassable when wet. Mingus Mountain Campground is located in close proximity to the lake.

Facilities: There is a parking area at the lake, but there are no other facilities provided at Mingus Lake. Mingus Mountain Campground is located near the lake.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted at Mingus Lake.

Best Time To Visit: Mingus Lake is open as weather permits. Forest Road 104 is relatively impassable when wet.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: The lake is not accessible.

Rules: A state fishing license is required for anglers 14 years old and older. Boats are not permitted on Mingus Lake.

Directions: To reach Mingus Lake from Jerome, travel west on U.S. Highway 89A to Forest Road 104. Take Forest Road 104 south 2 miles, the lake is located nearby. Forest Road 104 is relatively impassable when wet.
