Hannagan Meadow Winter Recreation Area

Hannagan Meadow Winter Recreation Area is the forested area around Hannagan Meadow during the snow season. On and around the Blue Range Primitive
Area cross country skiers are given a challenge with the steep terrain and solitude on these backcountry trails leading to the upper reaches of the area. For snowmobilers the Forest Roads west of U.S. Highway 191 provide a mix of dense forest and with some quaint meadows.

Facilities: Hannagan Meadow Winter Recreation Area provides restrooms and a few campgrounds located within the area. Gas, food, and lodging can be found in Alpine.

Reservations: Reservations are nor needed or accepted for Hannagan Meadow Winter Recreation Area.

Best Time To Visit: Hannagan Meadow Winter Recreation Area is open during the snow season.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: No pets on groomed trails and pack out what you pack in.

Directions: To reach Hannagan Meadow Winter Recreation Area from Springerville, travel south on U.S. Highway 191 to about 23 miles south of Alpine. The area is located here.
