George's Lake Trail is a loop style trail that starts in Alpine, and continues on an old logging road. It goes through the little ranches just outside Alpine and then continues on into a forest that looks like it is nowhere near any human settlement of any kind.
Along the trail a small lake, known as George's Lake, rests. The lake is a good spot for a breather or lunch, and migrating waterfowl can be seen on the lake occasionally. Just before the turn around there is an option to take the Luna Lake Loops to extend the trip. This trail offers some nice hills to go up and down as well.
This trail is about 7.5 miles long traveling on the basic route and is rated at a moderate difficulty. Mountain bikers and hikers can use this trail.
