Chihuahua Pine Trail connects the Los Caballos Trail with the Buena Vista Trail. This trail is named for the Chihuahua Pine, a relative of the ponderosa pine that can be found in lower elevations and has shorter needles that are clumped together in smaller bundles.
This trail has many short steep climbs. The rocky terrain makes mountain biking interesting. This trail is 4.5 miles long and has been rated a difficult. Mountain biking, horses, and hiking are acceptable means by which to traverse this trail.

Facilities: There are no facilities available at Chihuahua Pine Trail. Gas, lodging, and food can be found in Show Low.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted at Chihuahua Pine Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Chihuahua Pine Trail is open from early spring to early winter.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: Follow all trail etiquette

Directions: To reach Chihuahua Pine Trail Buena Vista Trailhead from Show Low, travel southwest on U.S. Highway 60 to Forest Road 300. The trail head should be on the left.

To reach Chihuahua Pine Trail Los Caballos Trailhead from Show Low, travel west on U.S. Highway 60 to State Highway 260. Take State Highway 260 west, the trailhead head is on the left.
