Bear Canyon Lake

Bear Canyon Lake is located among mixed conifer, oak, and aspen. The rustic Bear Canyon Lake Campground is located .25 mile from the lake. The only to reach the lake is to hike in from the campground.
This is an artificial fly and lure only lake, so bait can be used in fishing. The fish that can be caught in this lake are Rainbow Trout and Arctic Grayling.

Facilities: The campground near Bear Canyon Lake has restrooms. Gas, food, and lodging can be found in Heber.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted at Bear Canyon Lake.

Best Time To Visit: Bear Canyon Lake is open May through October.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: This lake can only be fished by artificial flies and lures.

Directions: To reach Bear Canyon Lake from Payson, travel northeast on State Highway 260 to Forest Road 300. Take Forest Road 300 northwest to Forest Road 89. Go on Forest Road 89 to the Bear Canyon Campground, the lake can be accessed from the campground.
