Ackre Lake Trail weaves it's way through coniferous forests with an aspen grove put here and there. Mountain bikers will find this trail agreeable as it was intended for bicycles and skis.
The namesake of the trail, Ackre Lake is located nearby and offers catch and release artificial fly and lure fishing. Along this trail there is an opportunity to catch a glimpse of some wildlife. This trail is 3.5 miles long and has an easiest rating. This trail receives moderate use.

Facilities: There are no facilities provided at Ackre Lake Trail. Food, lodging, and gas can be found in Alpine.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted at Ackre Lake Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Ackre Lake Trail is open for bike use from May through October.

Directions: To reach Ackre Lake Trail from Springerville, travel south on U.S. Highway 191 to Forest Road 24. Take Forest Road 24 northwest to Ackre Lake. The trailhead is located nearby.
