Bunkhouse Trail extends an easy 0.4 miles from the visitor center to Willow House. It is an important connector trail for the Red Rock State Park trail system leading to the Apache Fire, Javelina, Yavapai Ridge, and Turkey Creek (U.S. Forest Service) trails. With a total elevation change of only 40 feet, this barrier-free easy trail is paved from the visitor center to Kingfisher Crossing and provides disabled recreationists an opportunity to get up close to the lovely environs of Oak Creek.


Facilities: Bunkhouse Trail provides restrooms, a picnic area, and a trailhead.

Best Time To Visit: Bunkhouse Trail is open year-round.

Fees: A fee is required to use this trail.

Accessibility: This trail is handicap accesssible.

Rules: This trail is daytime use only. Permits are required. No pets, or swimming are allowed.

Directions: To reach Bunkhouse Trail from Sedona, take Hwy. 89A 5 miles southwest to Lower Red Rock Loop Rd.. Take Lower Red Rock Loop Rd. to Red Rock State Park Visitor Center. The trail begins at the visitor center.
