Permits are required to hike here. No pets, or swimming allowed. Directions: To reach Apache Fire Trail from Sedona, take Hwy. 89A five miles southwest to Lower Red Rock Loop Rd. (There is a sign for Red Rock State Park.) Take Lower Red Rock Loop Rd. to the Red Rock State Park Visitor Center. From the visitor center, follow Bunkhouse Trail east and cross Oak Creek via Kingfisher Crossing. Apache Fire Trail begins off the Kisva Trail a short distance north of Kingfisher Crossing. |
