Allen's Bend Trail #111 begins on the north side of the recreation area parking lot at Grasshopper Point. The trailhead sign is 75 feet farther along the trail. The trail is nearly level and mostly in full shade from remnants of an old orchard and various native riparian trees. A rock wall borders the trail on its left.
Oak Creek can be heard to the right, but is seldom visible. Several short paths provide access to the creek for fishing, swimming, and picnicking. Beware of poison ivy. The trail ends at Casner Canyon Trailhead. Return by the same route for a pleasant 1-mile-hike.
The nearly flat 0.5-mile distance helps make this an easy hike.
