S.B. Cove Campground is on the Bartlett Reservoir, with dispersed on-shore sites. Cactus and mesquite can be seen in the area. This area has spectacular views of the desert vistas with a mountain backdrop. Fishing for crappie, catfish, and bass is common in the reservoir. Frequent wildlife includes coyotes, hawks, and bald eagles.


Facilities: No drinking water is available at S.B. Cove Campground. Facilities can be found in Carefree.

Best Time To Visit: S.B. Cove Campground is open year round.

Fees: An overnight camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This campground is handicap accessible.

Rules: this campground is located within the Tonto National Forest; forest regulations apply. Maximum length of stay is 14 days.

Directions: To get to the S.B. Cove campground from Mesa: start out going west on east University Drive, turn right on North Country Club Drive/AZ-87. turn left on McDowell Road, take the AZ-101 Loop. Take the Princess Drive exit number 36, stay straight and go onto Pima Road. Turn right on Cave Creek Road.
