The 120 acres of the River Reservoir is at 8,200 feet elevation. Located one mile north of Greer, off FS 245, the River Reservoir is one of the three Greer lakes, and has produced the largest brown trout in the state. Rainbow trout is another abundant catch.

There is a boat launch and parking area available near the dam. Best fishing is in the shallow areas on the southern side.

Facilities: Restrooms are available at River Reservoir. There are also two picnic ramadas with tables and barbeques. There is no potable water. Full facilities are available at Greer.

Best Time To Visit: Unknown

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: There are accessible restrooms and reserved parking spaces, however there is no accessible lake access.

Rules: Single electric motor only for boats. All anglers 14 and older must have a valid Arizona fishing license.

Directions: To get to River Reservoir from Springerville: start out going northwest on US-60, turn left on AZ-260. Turn right on AZ-260, River Reservoir is located one mile north of Greer, off Forest Street 245.
