Turn right and travel 3.5 miles on Forest Road 374 to Metate Trailhead. Turn left and park. To reach Clark Spring Trail #40 from Prescott Valley, take Highway 69 to downtown Prescott. Go west (left) on Whipple Street, then northwest (right) on Iron Springs Road to junction with Granite Basin Road (Forest Road 374), a total of 4.7 miles.
