Butte Creek Trail is a 4-mile, scenic trail located with in a 15-foot public-trail easement on private land. It winds along the beautiful riparian area of Butte Creek through Hassayampa Golf Club. Portions of the Butte Creek Trail are near custom homes and a golf course.
The trail climbs significantly before reaching the Prescott National Forest. Butte Creek Trail affords outstanding views of the area and eventually arrives at the headwaters of Butte Creek. Total elevation change is 500 feet.
Accepted uses for Butte Creek Trail are hiking, horse back riding, and walking leashed pets.

To reach Butte Creek Trail from Prescott Valley, take Highway 69 to downtown Prescott. Then, go west on Gurley St., which becomes Thumb Butte Rd. Turn left on Sherwood Drive and park at Stricklin Park.
