Aspen Creek Trail #48

Aspen Creek Trail #48 is an easy, 3-mile long, scenic trail offering beautiful views of the Prescott area. From points along the trail, one can see Spruce Mountain, Mount Union, and the Wilhoit area. Deer and elk can often be seen grazing nearby.
Aspen Creek Trail #48 climbs fairly sharply from Copper Basin Road, with a change in elevation of about 500 feet to the ridge below Mount Francis. From here, the trail continues about 1 mile to its junction with East Copper Trail #260, where Aspen Creek Trail #48 ends.
Accepted uses for Aspen Creek Trail #48 are hiking, mountain biking, equestrian and horses, and walking leashed pets.
