The 68 acres of Pacheta Lake are located at 8,200 feet in elevation. During the week, the lake is quiet, and even on the weekend, there may only be a few locals or the serious weekend angler. After summer monsoons, the access may get muddy. Rainbow, brown, and Apache trout are the most frequent fish catches, with either flies or lures. Some sections of the shore can be quite weedy, so rafts and canoes are recommended.
