Oak Creek, located 14 miles south of Flagstaff at 5,000 feet elevation, may be one of the most scenic fishing and swimming holes in the world. Oak Creek flows through a narrow gorge, cut along a fault line in the same rock strata that form the Grand Canyon. While here, visitors can hike, fish, bird watch, bike or simply relax by the creek and take in the awe-inspiring views.
