Campsites include a fire ring with cooking grate, a picnic table, parking space, and room for up to 3 tents. Best Time To Visit: Mather Campground is open year round. During the winter, from mid-November through February 28, reservations are not available at Mather Campground. Family and group campsites are available at a discount. This is on a first-come first-served basis. There is a self-pay machine at the campground office. Fees: A nightly camping fee is charged. Accessibility: Accessible campsites and restrooms are available. Rules: Pets are allowed, but must be leashed at all times, and may not be left unattended. Wood and charcoal fires permitted in provided campsite grills only. No gathering of down wood, wood may be purchased at the general store. Generator use is allowed during the hours of 8AM - 10AM and 6PM - 8PM only.Directions: To reach Mather Campground from the South Entrance Station to the Grand Canyon, drive northward on the South Entrance Road, passing East Rim Drive and turning westward on West Rim Drive.
