Lynx Lake Recreation Area is one of the most popular recreation areas in central Arizona. Mild weather, the cool ponderosa pine forest, a serene 55-acre lake, trout fishing, boating, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, archaeological sites, and bird watching attract visitors from throughout Arizona.
The Arizona State Game and Fish Department periodically stocks the lake with rainbow trout. Largemouth bass, sunfish, channel catfish, and crappie are also present in the Lynx Lake Recreation Area.
There is a nearby store and marina which offers boat rentals. There are also trails, and a mineral withdrawal area. The lake also has a boat launch.
