The Babe Haught Trail is a difficult 6-miles round trip trail. Pioneer "Babe" Haught built this trail to pack supplies over the rim from Winslow. The easiest access is from the Hatchery Trailhead off Forest Road 300. This 6-mile trail has a 1260 foot change in elevation.


Facilities: There are no facilities at the Babe Haught Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Babe Haught Trail is open year-round.

Fees: There are no use fees associated with this trail.

Accessibility: This trail is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Motorized vehicles are prohibited. If you PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT!!

Directions: To reach Babe Haught Trail from Payson, travel north on Hwy. 87 to Forest Road 300. The trail sign is on the south side of the road. Easiest access is from the Hatchery Trailhead.
