Lower Wolf Creek Family Campground is located within Arizona walnut, live-oaks and ponderosa pines. This campground is just a short drive from the city of Prescott. A host is available to provide information and assist visitors to find a suitable camping site.
The 20 campsites provided are generally large enough to accommodate most recreational vehicles up to 40 feet in length.
Lower Wolf Creek Family Campground is located at an elevation of 6,000. Each camp site usually accommodates one vehicle towing a camp trailer plus one additional vehicle (there is a charge for additional vehicle). Vehicles must be parked in space provided on site - not along side the road. Depending on the site, trailers between 22 feet to 40 feet in length can be accommodated. Sites are designed for 5 people; a maximum of 10 is allowed only to accommodate a single large family.

Facilities: Three vault toilets are available at Lower Wolf Creek Family Campground. There is no drinking water. All campsites have a fire ring and picnic table. Trash service is available.

Best Time To Visit: Lower Wolf Creek Family Campground is open seasonally from May 1 through October 31.

Fees: A nightly camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This campground is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Maximum length of stay is 14 days. Quiet hours must be observed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Open fires must be confined within fireplaces, grills or fire rings provided within developed recreation areas. The gathering of dead wood is allowed for campground use only.

Directions: To reach Lower Wolf Creek Family Campground from Prescott, take the Senator Highway (Mt. Vernon Avenue) south for about 6 miles. Pass the entrance to Goldwater Lake and the community of Groom Creek. The pavement will end about 500 feet before Forest Road 97. Turn right onto Forest Road 97 and travel for another 1.25 miles to the campground on the right of the road. Forest Road 97 is unpaved but is suitable for all vehicles during dry road conditions.
