The Country Club/Los Burros Connector Trail provides a nice way to connect both trails for a longer trip. The trail crosses several drainages and winds in and out of thick pine forests. Many plant species can be found during the spring and summer. The trail crosses several main forest service roads, providing easy access along the trail.


Facilities: The Los Burros Campground is nearby the Country Club/Los Burros Connector Trail.

Best Time To Visit: The Country Club/Los Burros Connector Trail is open from spring to early winter.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible.

Directions: To reach the Country Club/Los Burros Connector Trailhead: From Show Low, start out going west on US-60, and going west on AZ-260. West once more on AZ-77, and south toward North White Mountain Road which goes to Lakeside. From Lakeside Ranger Station drive south on State Highway 260 towards McNary. Turn left on Bucksprings Road. Drive 0.6 miles. Turn left on Forest Road 182 (to Sky High Retreat). Drive 2 miles. Pass Springs Trailhead on left. Where Forest Road 182 veers to left, proceed straight on Forest Road 185 past Sierra Springs Ranch entrance. Trailhead is on right. Follow trail to east. Connector trail starts northwest of Chipmunk Springs.
