Nearby Upper and Lower Lake Mary, Ashurst, and Marshall lakes serve as a recreational focus for the 30 sites of Lake View Campground. Lake View Campground is terraced along a grassy hillside shaded by old-growth ponderosa pine trees. The campground is not paved, but is well maintained dirt.
Lake View Campground is suitable for both tents and trailers. Sites are between large ponderosa pine trees and big rocks. RVs and trailers under 28 feet can be accommodated in some sites.
There is easy access to Lake Mary Narrows by using Wood Trail. There is a campground host at Lake View Campground.
Lake Mary is stocked with trout, bass, and channel catfish. Upper Lake Mary is popular with power boaters, and Ashurst attracts a following of windsurfers along with its anglers and boaters. The lakes are used as a stopover for migrating waterfowl, a wintering site for rare bald eagles, and a feeding ground for resident ospreys.
The area is home to a considerable number of elk and mule deer as well.


Facilities: Lake View Campground offers picnic tables, fire rings and cooking grills, drinking water, and toilets.

Best Time To Visit: Lake View Campground is open early May to mid-October, weather permitting.

Fees: Camping fees are charged.

Accessibility: Handicapped fishing access at Lake Mary Narrows. The campground is not easily accessible but offers 3 accessible toilets.

Rules: No utility hookups. Pets must always be restrained or on a leash. No horses are allowed in the campground. Motorbikes may only be used for entering or leaving campsite. This campground is located within the Coconino National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To reach Lake View Campground from Flagstaff, Drive 16 miles south from Flagstaff on Forest Highway 3 (Lake Mary Road) to Lakeview.
