Lake Mary Narrows Picnic Area offers fishing for the walleye, trout, and channel catfish that live in Upper Lake Mary. The picnic area can also serve as a great place to take a time out from cruising in a boat, which may be anything from a canoe to a jet boat. There is no restriction on boat motor size.
Lake Mary Narrows Picnic Area is a great place to see the migrating waterfowl or wintering eagles that regularly put in an appearance at the lake. In any of these cases and more, an afternoon at Lake Mary Narrows a varied and enjoyable experience.


Facilities: Restrooms, picnic tables, trash, and cooking grills are provided at Lake Mary Narrows Picnic Area. Drinking water is not provided.

Best Time To Visit: Lake Mary Narrows Picnic Area is typically open from May through November.

The Lower Lake Mary Picnic/Boat Launch Area and Narrows Picnic/Boat Launch Area are gated closed in the winter and toilets are boarded up, but people can still access the sites for fishing, etc. as long as they park safely along the roadway (Forest Highway 3) and do not block the gates.

Fees: There are no use fees at this attraction.

Accessibility: There is a paved fishing area that provides access for the disabled. There is barrier free access to the water and there are wheel-chair accessible picnic tables.

Rules: Camping is not permitted; Lake Mary Narrows closes nightly. This is a wake free zone.

Directions: To get to Lake Mary Narrows Picnic Area from Flagstaff, Drive 13 miles south from Flagstaff on Forest Highway 3 (Lake Mary Road). The picnic area is on the west side of the road in a grove of trees.
