Kaibab Lake is a pleasant place to spend a few hours or a few hours or a few days, and it's located just a couple of miles outside the town of Williams in the Williams Ranger District.
The lake is stocked with rainbow trout as well as brown and brook trout. Channel cats are occasionally stocked too. When the water level at Kaibab is low, (drought years) the waters are not usually maintained for fishing.
There is a boat ramp and fishing dock, which are only usable during periods of high water.
Boats are limited to electric motors with smaller than 10 horse power. Kayaks and canoes are also permitted.
Kaibab Lake Campground will be closed for construction through Summer 2011. Please visit one of William's other campgrounds like: Whitehorse Lake Campground, Cataract Lake Campground, or Dogtown Lake Campground. Even though the campground will not be open for overnight camping until the reconstruction project is complete, the lake itself will remain open for day-use from dawn until dusk daily.

Facilities: Restrooms and over 70 individual camping areas are provided at Kaibab Lake Campground. There are also picnic areas and an outdoor amphitheater. There is ample day-use parking.
Picnic tables and fire rings are provided at Kaibab Campground. There are garbage bins, and recycle collection bins throughout the campground. Composting toilets and pit toilets are available. Kaibab Campground offers potable water hydrants located throughout the campground. Filling water tanks in motorhomes and RV's is not allowed due to limted supply. Potable water supply for drinking water only.

Best Time To Visit: This campground is maintained May - October or as weather permits. There is day-use fishing year-round.

Fees: There is an overnight camping fee to stay at the adjacent campground: Kaibab Lake Campground. No day use fees are charged unless you plan on using a campsite for the day.

Accessibility: 6 campsites at Kaibab Campground and the restrooms are wheelchair accessible. There is also a small boat ramp and wheelchair accessible fishing pier.

Rules: Pets must be kept on leash. A valid Arizona fishing license, with a trout stamp, is required for all anglers 14-years old and older.

Directions: Kaibab Lake is located two miles east of Williams on I-40, take exit 165. Go north 1 mile on AZ 64 to the campground entrance on the west side of the highway. These are paved roads, but are sometimes closed by snow in winter.
