The 4 acres of Hulsey Lake is at 8,600 feet elevation. Located seven miles north of Alpine off U.S. 191 on FS 56 and 56A, and near Alpine and Nutrioso. At the foot of beautiful Escudilla Mountain, Hulsey Lake provides excellent views, picnic sites, and photography backdrops.


Facilities: No facilities are available at Hulsey Lake. In nearby Alpine you'll find lodging and restaurants.

Best Time To Visit: Hulsey Lake's best rainbow and brown trout fishing is in the early spring. Winter may provide ice-fishing opportunities.

Fees: No fees are charged.

Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible.

Directions: To get to Hulsey Lake from Springerville: Start out going East on US-60, turn right on US-180. Turn left on AZ-260, turn onto US-191. The lake is located seven miles north of Alpine off U.S. 191 on FS 56 and 56A, and near Alpine and Nutrioso.
