Horton Creek, located 17 miles east of Payson, offers camping, picnicking, fishing, and water-play. German Brown fish are the introduced sport fish in this creek.


Facilities: The Horton Day Use site and Upper Tonto Creek Campgrounds have vault toilets, and drinking water. Nearby commercial services are available at Kohl's Ranch, Christopher Creek Village, and Payson.
