Adjacent to the East Fork of the Black River, Horse Springs Campground is situated in a forested valley. The site is shaded by tall ponderosa pine and bordered by grasses, alder, and streamside hardwoods. Hiking and fishing is available in the area.
There are 27 single sites available. This campground is for those who enjoy camping in a semi-developed area.


Facilities: Supplies and groceries can be found in Alpine. Vault toilets and drinking water is available at the campground.

Best Time To Visit: May through October is the recommended time to visit Horse Springs Campground.

Fees: A camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This area is handicap accessible.

Rules: Pets must be restrained or on a leash.

Directions: Drive 2 miles north of Alpine on US Highway 191 to Forest Road 249. Turn west and follow this wide, graveled forest road 5 miles to Forest Road 276. Turn south and follow Forest Road 276 for six miles to the East Fork developed camping area.
