| Facilities: Restrooms, picnic facilities, and campgrounds are provided at Granite Basin Lake. Best Time To Visit: Granite Basin Lake is open year-round, for day use only. Roads may be closed or impassible due to winter snow or ice. Fees: There is an entrance fee/day use fee for the entire Granite Basin Lake Recreation Area. Paying the fee once gains you access to the entire recreation area. Accessibility: The area is not technically accessible, however there may be lake access depending on water level. Rules: A state fishing license is required for anglers 14 years old and older. Electric motors, oars, paddle, or sail-powered boats are permitted on Granite Basin Lake. Swimming is not permitted. Directions: To reach Granite Basin Lake from the Courthouse in downtown Prescott, take Montezuma Street north. Montezuma will become Whipple Street, and Whipple will become Iron Springs Road. Follow Iron Springs Road to Forest Road 374. Follow it for about 4 miles to the lake.
