Goldfield Campground is located in the Salt River Canyon. Plant life includes mesquite, paloverde, ironwood, and cactus. Fishing for bass, trout, and catfish is commonly seen here. Bears, mountain lions, coyotes, great blue herons, big horn sheep, and eagles frequent the area.
This campground has dispersed campsites located in the Salt River Canyon. This campground is for those who enjoy camping in a semi-developed area.


Facilities: There is no drinking water available at the Goldfield Campground.

Best Time To Visit: The Goldfield Campground is open year-long.

Accessibility: This campground is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Maximum length of stay is 14 days. This campground is located in the Tonto National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To reach the Goldfield Campground from Mesa travel east on US 60 towards Apache Junction to US highway 89 go west on US highway 89 for 5 miles to Ellsworth Usery Pass Road. Go north 8 miles to Bush highway. Continue north on 204A approximately 1 mile to the campground.

To reach the Goldfield Campground from Paradise Valley Take Loop 101 South to US 60, travel east on US 60 towards Apache Junction to US highway 89 go west on US highway 89 for 5 miles to Ellsworth Usery Pass Road. Go north 8 miles to Bush highway. Continue north on 204A approximately 1 mile to the campground.
To reach the Goldfield Campground from Scottsdale Take Loop 101 south to US 60, travel east on US 60 towards Apache Junction to US highway 89 go west on US highway 89 for 5 miles to Ellsworth Usery Pass Road. Go north 8 miles to Bush Highway. Continue north on 204A approximately 1 mile to the campground.
