Overton Arm is the northern most section of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. General stores are located at Echo Bay and Overton Beach and offer the basic needs for camping, groceries and snack foods, fishing gear and tackle, souvenirs and clothing. In addition, maps and park publications are available.


Facilities: Echo Bay Marina has boat rentals, fuel, general store merchandise, and a restaurant, dry storage, and slip rentals. Overton Beach has boat rentals, general store, snack bar, and fuel, dry storage and slip rentals.
Boat rentals range from personal watercraft to 16-foot fishing boats, 18-foot runabouts for water-skiing and exploring, 24-foot patio boats, and houseboats that sleep up to 14 people.

Best Time To Visit: Overton Arm is open year round.

Fees: Lake Mead National Recreation Area has entrance and lake use fees. Daily and annual passes can be purchased at the entrance stations.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: A fishing license from either Arizona or Nevada, to which a special-use stamp from the opposite state is attached, is required for those wishing to fish on Lake Mead or Lake Mohave.

Directions: To reach Overton Arm from Las Vegas: start out by going northwest on NV-604, turn left onto Las Vegas BLVD. Merge onto US-93 south via the ramp- on the left, stay straight to go onto Nevada Highway for .5 miles Overton arm theree.

Reservations: Advance reservations for Overton Arm are advised. Because of the growing popularity of houseboats, reservations for these should be made at least 6 months in advance.
