| Facilities: Restrooms, drinking water, and over 20 individual camping sites are provided Dead Horse Ranch State Park. Best Time To Visit: The Hicky Ditch Trail is open 365 days a year. The Ranger Station opens at 8:00 a.m. except on Christmas Day. Fees: Daily entrance fees apply. Accessibility: This Trail is not handicapped accessible. Rules: Pets must be kept on leash and not left unattended. Park stay is limited to 15 days in a 30 day period.Vehicles must be parked on the paved surface within each designated site.Swimming and boating are prohibited in the west lagoon.Loaded firearms are prohibited in the park.Directions: To reach Hicky Ditch Trail from Cottonwood, from where Highway 260 intersects with 89A/Main Street, turn left on Main Street and proceed to north 10th Street. Turn right (north) on north 10th Street. Continue on north 10th across the Verde River Bridge to the park entrance.
