Fool Hollow Lake contain 150 acres of surface area and provides and opportunity for fishing or boating. This lake is located within the Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area.
The Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area was created by a private/public partnership in 1988, with construction beginning in the fall of 1991. It is an 850-acre recreation area surrounding a 149-acre lake and includes 92 recreational vehicle/camper hook ups, 31 developed tent sites, five shower buildings with restroom facilities, two handicapped fishing piers and a contact station.
In addition, a fully functional sanitary dump station, a fish cleaning station and several tot lots are available to visitors within the project. A riparian environmental area and the Pintail Lake Wildlife Viewing Area provide outdoor classroom opportunities for students from nearby schools.


Facilities: Restrooms, picnic areas, and over 120 campsites are provided at Fool Hollow Lake.

Best Time To Visit: Fool Hollow Lake is open year-round.

Fees: An entrance fee and an overnight camping fee will apply.

Accessibility: This area is handicap accessible.

Rules: This campground is located in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To reach Fool Hollow Lake from Show Low, drive west towards the intersection of Highways 260, 60, and 77. Turn west (right) on Hwy. 260 (towards Payson). Drive 2.0 miles to Old Linden Road. Turn right on Old Linden Road and drive .6 miles to Fool Hollow Lake Road. Fool Hollow Lake Road is the main entrance to the Recreation Area
