| Facilities: Restrooms and drinking water are provided at North Rim Campground. Campsites have tables and fire rings. Showers and laundry services are available for a fee. There is also an RV dump station. Best Time To Visit: North Rim Campground is open from mid-May through mid-October. After mid-October, weather permitting, a limited number of campsites at the North Rim Campground with limited services (portable toilets) will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until snow closes Highway 67. Hikers and cross-country skiers will be permitted to use the park's group campsites throughout the winter months if they have obtained a permit through the park's Backcountry Information Center. Fees: Overnight camping fees will apply, as well as an entrance fee to the park. Accessibility: Accessible campsites and restrooms are available. Rules: Pets are allowed, but must be leashed at all times, and may not be left unattended. Wood and charcoal fires are only permitted in provided campsite grills. No gathering of down wood. Directions: North Rim Campground is located inside the Grand Canyon National Park in the North Rim developed area. To reach the North Rim Campground from Highway 67 south, enter the park at the north entrance and follow the entrance road for about 11.5 miles. The entrance for the campground is the second right after the North Kaibab Trailhead parking area. All sites are reservable during this time, and can be reserved 6 months in advance. There are NO first come, first served sites during this period.
