The Watson Lake Dells offer climbers beautiful scenery with views of Watson Lake while climbing in a myriad of granite dome formations. The rock is similar in quality to that found in Joshua Tree National Park (California). Routes are generally short with a mix of trad and bolts, plus there is a lot of bouldering. The largest concentration of routes are in the canyons formed by the numerous rock ridges that spread out from the lake's northwest shoreline about mid way to the dam. Finding a particular route can be a bit confusing, but pleasant trails and lots of bare rock make the search enjoyable.
