Located in Prescott Valley, this scenic 100-acre park was once was the home of gold prospectors on Lynx Creek. Fain Park features the Barlow-Massick "Castle on the Creek". Fain Lake was dredged during Spring 2011 to improve the water quality for fishing and recreation.
Fain Park was a 100-acre gift to the town of Prescott Valley. There is an active 50-acre recreation site, including trails, picnic areas, ramadas. The park also offers limited gold panning, and a still-developing historical site in addition to the Fitzmaurice historic ruins.
Fain Park also offers a mini-history lesson with a refurbished stamp mill and historical artifacts with interpretive signs.
Fain Lake is stocked by the Arizona Game and Fish with rainbow trout.
The town of Prescott Valley has not yet developed the other 50 acres that includes the historic townsite of Massicks.
Neither the Castle nor the Fitzmaurice ruins are open to the public.
