Tavasci Marsh Trail, located within the Dead Horse Ranch State Park, is a 1.0 mile one way trail. Visitors can access it from the West Lagoon parking lot or the Mesquite Day Use Area. Follow along the historic Hickey irrigation ditch through a canopy of Ailanthus and Mesquite trees.


Facilities: Restrooms, drinking water, and over 20 individual camping sites are provided nearby Tavasci Marsh Trail.

Best Time To Visit: Tavasci Marsh Trail is Open 365 days a year. The Ranger Station opens at 8:00 a.m. except on Christmas Day.

Fees: Daily entrance and camping fees apply.

Accessibility: This trail is not handicap accessible.

Rules: Pets must be kept on leash and not left unattended.

Firewood gathering is prohibited.
Vehicles must be parked on the paved surface within each designated site.
Loaded firearms are prohibited in the park.

Directions: To Tavasci Marsh Trail from Cottonwood take Hwy 260. Hwy. 260 intersects with 89A/Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and proceed to North 10th Street. Turn right (north) on North 10th Street. Continue on North 10th across the Verde River Bridge to the park entrance.
