Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible. Rules: Sierra Ancha Wilderness Area asks that visitors adhere to the Leave no Trace policy. A group size of no more than 15 people and no more than 15 head of pack or saddle animals of any type is enforced within this wilderness year-round. Motorized equipment and mechanized transport are prohibited. Directions: To reach Sierra Ancha Wilderness Area from Payson, take AZ-260 25 miles to Chamberlain Trail (Portions unpaved). Turn right to stay on Chamberlain Trail for 16 miles then turn right onto NF 512/AZ-288/YOUNG HEBER RD. Continue to follow AZ-288 (Portions unpaved) for 5 miles.
