Rules: This area is within the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest; forest Regulations Apply. The area is under Special Use Permit to the Blue Ridge School District for environmental studies. Directions: To reach Big Springs Environmental Study Area from Show Low, travel south through the Lakeside business district on State Highway 260. Turn right at traffic light on Woodland Road and continue about .6 miles. Parking area is on the left. Take the trail to the right, which will follow the creek to the springs and then back to the bridge above the meadow.
