Best Time To Visit: Woods Canyon Lake Group Site is generally open from May 1 to September 30. The campground may open earlier or later depending upon weather. Fees: Fees are charged to camp. Accessibility: The campground is handicapped accessible. Rules: Pets must be on-leash at all times. Directions: Woods Canyon Lake Group Site is located just off Woods Canyon Lake, approximately 5 miles north of State Highway 260, in Payson, on Forest Road 300. Forest Road 300 is located directly across from the Rim Visitor Information Station or 25 miles west of Heber, Arizona.
