| Facilities: There are no facilities provided on the East Baldy Trail. Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to use East Baldy Trail. Best Time To Visit: The East Baldy Trail is open May through October. Fees: There are no fees associated with this trail. Accessibility: This trail is not handicap accessible. Rules: No motorized vehicles, mountain bicycles or power equipment are allowed in the wilderness. Directions: To reach the East Baldy Trail from Springerville take State Highway 261 west for two miles until you reach the intersection on State Highway 261. Follow this south for ten miles. Turn off on to State Road 273 on the right. There are two trailheads, both off AZ 273. The main trailhead is on the north side of the East Fork of the Little Colorado. This used to be the Phelps Trailhead. A secondary trailhead is located at Gabaldon Campground. The trails merge within a quarter of a mile of their respective starting points. |
