| Facilities: A number of campgrounds, boat rentals and a general store are available at Woods Canyon Lake. Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to use Woods Canyon Lake. Best Time To Visit: Woods Canyon Lake freezes during the winter. Fees: No fees are charged. Accessibility: This area is not handicap accessible. Rules: There is no swimming allowed in the lake. Directions: To reach Woods Canyon from Payson turn right onto State Route 260. Follow 260 to the top of the Rim. Just as the highway crests the ascent there will be a left turn onto Forest Road 300, the Old Rim Road. Follow this road until the pavement ends. Turn right into the lake area. |
