Owned by the City of Prescott, Willow Lake is an ideal place to go bird-watching, paddle a canoe or kayak, or just sit in the rocks of the Granite Dells and enjoy the sun and water. Willow Lake is located at Heritage Park.
Willow Lake offers about 400 surface acres and is a favorite with kayakers, small sail boats, and paddle boats.
This lake is better known for paddling canoes or kayaks than as a fishing lake. There are canoes and kayaks for rent during the summer months.
Eagles, cormorants, pelicans, ducks and many other birds are beginning to make this a yearly stop since the lake is now staying full all year.
There is a fish cleaning station, restrooms, and access to Heritage Park Zoo. There is also a boat ramp and fishing platform. Willow Lake holds largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, bluegill and sunfish.
Willow Lake also offers excellent hiking opportunities with trails that link to nearby Watson Lake and the trails at Pioneer Park.
Day use facilities include restrooms, ramadas, picnic tables, fish cleaning stations, boat ramp, children's playground and several softball fields.
