The Challenger Space Center is an exciting space-themed learning environment where students, families, and other visitors fly simulated space flight missions involving flight crews, mission controllers and scientists. The exhibits include Mercury Spacecraft, Space Shuttle Columbia Memorial, Iridium Satellite model, new views of the universe, minor planet research, space toys, Robert McCall's tour of the universe, Atlantis Space Shuttle model, International Space Station Patches, Lowell Observatory, and Aviation gallery. |

Accessibility: Unknown Rules: Unknown Directions: To get to The Challenger Space Center from Peoria Travel west on the Loop 101: Exit onto Union Hills Road, and then turn right off the exit ramp, heading West on Union Hills. Turn right onto North 83rd Avenue. Turn right at the 5th stop light to continue on North 83rd. The Center is the large white building on the left. Traveling North on Loop 101 from the I-10: From the I-10, take the Loop 101 North and travel 12 miles north. Exit onto Union Hills Road, and turn left at the light. Turn Right onto North 83rd Avenue.
