Double Springs Campground is located 24 miles southeast of Flagstaff near Mormon Lake. Double Springs campsites are scattered through cool groves of ponderosa pines and white firs.
Double Springs Campground has 15 single unit sites for tents and small RV campers, up to 16 feet.
Recreational interests here usually centers on fishing in nearby Mormon Lake. Three hiking trails originate at Double Springs. They lead to scenic overlooks of nearby Mormon Lake and the surrounding area of prairies, forests and volcanoes.
Wildlife to watch for includes hawks, northern harriers, ospreys, elk and mule deer. The scenic little mountain resort village of Mormon Lake is conveniently close to the camp, offering horseback rides and mountain bike rentals. Visitors will also find a country store, service station, and a picturesque cowboy steak house there.
Three hiking trails originate at Double Springs Campground.


Facilities: Restrooms, drinking water, tables, and grills are provided.

Best Time To Visit: Double Springs Campground is generally open from early May through mid-October.

Fees: An overnight camping fee is charged.

Accessibility: This area is not accessible.

Rules: Maximum length of stay is 14 days. Pets must always be restrained or on a leash. No horses are allowed in the campground. Motorbikes may only be used for entering or leaving campsite. This campground resides within the Coconino National Forest; forest regulations apply.

Directions: To reach the Double Springs Campground from Flagstaff, drive south from Flagstaff 20 miles on Forest Highway 3 (Lake Mary Road) to the intersection of Forest Road 90. Turn west on Forest Road 90 and drive 4.6 miles to Double Springs Campground.
