Apache Lake is formed behind Horse Mesa Dam and is downstream from Roosevelt Dam. The lake is 2,660 surface acres, 266 feet at maximum depth, 17 miles long, and has 41 miles of shoreline, at 1,914 feet elevation. Boating, camping, picnicking, water play, wildlife viewing, and hiking are just a few of the recreational opportunities here. Fish include small mouth bass, trout, bluegill, green sunfish, and carp.

Facilities: Picnic tables, a restaurant and toilets are provided at Apache Lake.

Reservations: Reservations are not needed or accepted to use Apache Lake.

Best Time To Visit: Apache Lake is open year-round.

Fees: Daily use fees are charged.

Accessibility: Unknown

Rules: Waters near developed sites and many coves are "No Wake" areas. Please use trash receptacles when available, or PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT!!

Directions: To reach the Apache Lake from Apache Junction, travel on State Highway 88 until either Forest Road 183 or Forest Road 79.
